Police in Behchokǫ̀ say they have charged a 24-year-old after a man was found with multiple stab wounds on Tuesday morning.
According to RCMP, officers were summoned just after 10am following a report that two men were fighting. They found one man wounded on the ground.
The wounded individual was not publicly identified and their current condition is not known.
“The lone suspect appeared to have fled the scene. First aid was provided to the victim until paramedics arrived,” RCMP stated.
A dog unit, drone unit and emergency response team were called in, police said, and the suspect was located nearby. The dog unit found a knife that police believe was “used in the assault.”

Keanu Lafferty of Behchokǫ̀ is charged with aggravated assault, police stated, and has been remanded into custody.
