RCMP say they have so far identified and arrested one of three suspects after workers at a downtown Yellowknife dental clinic said youths assaulted staff.
Employees at Adam Dental Clinic said three teenagers came into the waiting room on Wednesday morning in an attempt to assault a dentist.
A receptionist described trying to push the attackers back outside the crowded waiting area, with a relative of a young patient also reportedly hurt as they tried to help.
Staff said they could not identify a motive for the incident.
In a Thursday afternoon update, a police spokesperson said the suspect who was arrested has since been “released conditionally to a parent.” Their name and age were not given.
No charges have been laid, the spokesperson stated, and an investigation is ongoing.
