RCMP in Behchokǫ̀ say they are investigating after a 73-year-old man who had been reported missing was located deceased.
In a Monday news release, police had sought the public’s help in locating Joachim Rabesca who was last seen leaving the seniors’ complex in the community on Saturday, December 13.
In a subsequent update, police said Rabesca had sadly been located deceased.
“Our thoughts are with the family, friends and community members affected during this difficult time,” the RCMP stated, thanking community members for their help.
RCMP said they are investigating the death alongside the NWT Coroner Service.
