An amber alert for a 14-month-old boy abducted in the early hours of Friday has been cancelled, as police say the boy was located unharmed.

The boy – Waylon Armstrong – has been located, as has his father Cody Armstrong who police say abducted the boy in the early hours of Friday. Both are unharmed, Alberta RCMP stated in an update Friday evening, and Cody Armstrong is in police custody.

Earlier in the afternoon, police stated a green GMC Sierra truck, which they believed was used in the abduction of the boy, had been found at the residence of his father.
