A 48-year-old man faces seven charges after multiple reports of assault at a Fort Good Hope home on Saturday night.

Police say they were called just before midnight on Saturday.

“An adult male and adult female were located injured outside the residence and were transported to the medical clinic,” RCMP said in a news release issued on Monday. “They were later medevaced to Yellowknife with what were described as serious injuries and have since been transported to Edmonton for further treatment.”

Police added: “During the investigation, it was revealed two skidoos had been set on fire and two axes were located in the yard beside the residence.”
