An NWT repository of movie equipment has launched an online rental platform, calling it “a game-changer for local filmmakers, pros and artists.”

Western Arctic Moving Pictures, or Wamp, is a non-profit that supports film and video production in the territory.

In a Monday press release, Wamp said the equipment rental website was “one of the most exciting features” of a website refresh funded by the NWT government.

“It’s the future of gear management, making it simple for creatives to do what they love any time, anywhere,” the press release stated.

Film-makers can rent cameras and lenses, lighting, audio equipment, grip gear and cables, alongside the likes of computers and other set accessories.
