Fort Simpson, Fort Smith, Hay River, Inuvik and Norman Wells are voting in municipal elections on Monday.

Results will appear on this page as they come in.

Three of the five regional centres are electing a mayor and a full set of councillors (eight in most cases but six in Norman Wells).

The exceptions are Fort Simpson, where all council candidates were acclaimed but a mayoral election will take place, and Hay River, where only a council is being voted on after Kandis Jameson was acclaimed to a third term as mayor.

Successful candidates will be elected to serve three-year terms.

Inuvik’s mayoral election pits incumbent Clarence Wood against Peter Clarkson, while the Norman Wells mayoral contest involves incumbent Frank Pope and former Sahtu MLA Paulie Chinna.
