Hotıì ts’eeda is calling for applications for funding that supports health and wellness projects in the NWT.
In Monday press release, Hotıì ts’eeda announced that it is offering funding between $1,000 to $15,000 for NWT community initiatives and research that address local health and wellness needs.
To be eligible, projects must be based in the NWT, consider or prioritize northern and Indigenous health and wellness, and be aligned with the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous People, among other criteria.
The organization said it is particularly interested in applications that focus on youth and mental wellness, the environment and wellness, and cancer support and survivor stories as well as community-led health and wellness programs, talking circles, support and focus groups and training to build research capacity.
More information on application guidelines and application forms can be found on Hotıì ts’eeda’s website.
Hotıì ts’eeda said it will review and make funding decisions in the late winter or spring.
