There will be change at the top of all three institutions operated by Yellowknife Catholic Schools, the organization announced on Thursday.

Alicia Larade is leaving Weledeh Catholic School to become the principal at École St Joseph School. She will replace Paul Kelly at St Joe’s when the 2025-26 academic year begins.

Kelly will move the other way, taking over at Weledeh.

Don Reid, who began his teaching career with Yellowknife Catholic Schools in 1995, will leave the role of principal at École St Patrick High School at the end of this academic year.

YCS said a nationwide search for his successor was under way.
