Yellowknife Catholic Schools says its Weledeh school will reopen on Tuesday after a measles advisory but St Pat’s will remain closed for at least one more day.
A confirmed measles case in Yellowknife has triggered exposure alerts for various locations, including some areas associated with both schools, which share a broader campus.
The two schools were closed on Monday.

“Yellowknife Catholic Schools is pleased to announce that we have been able to verify an adequate number of staff at Weledeh Catholic School have proof of the measles vaccination and will reopen tomorrow, May 6,” superintendent Adam Murray said in a letter on Monday afternoon.
“École St Patrick High School continues to collect information on vaccination proof of the staff and will remain closed to students tomorrow.”
A further update is expected by 4pm on Tuesday.
