Franklin House apartments damaged in Thursday morning fire

A fire broke out in the Franklin House apartments early on May 29 in Yellowknife.

Residents reported watching firefighters work to extinguish the fire around 2am.

At least one unit was damaged in the fire, and the cause is unknown.

The fire was one of two in the city on Thursday morning. A shack beside Pilots’ Monument burned down around 7:30am.

The City of Yellowknife has been approached for comment.
