This year’s Back Bay Bazaar will be held on Primrose Lane, in Yellowknife’s Old Town, on Saturday, June 7.
“This has been running for more than 30 years. We have a very eclectic neighbourhood here in Old Town, as much of Old Town is very eclectic, and so there’s always some interesting things to be found,” organizer Andrew Jossa told Cabin Radio.
The Back Bay Bazaar is a garage sale much like others around town, featuring various interesting treasures, but it will also provide an opportunity to give back to the community of Yellowknife.
Jossa said the bazaar will feature a bake sale table, the proceeds of which will be donated to the Spruce Bough long-term supportive housing program. The Back Bay Community Association plans to match the amount raised.
The event will be held from 9am-12pm and early birds are “discouraged,” organizer said. For more information, visit the event’s Facebook post.
