Winners announced in YK raffle that brought in more than $300K

The winners of four big-ticket prizes were announced on Monday as a giant Stanton Territorial Hospital Foundation raffle concluded.

Prizes on offer included a 2025 GMC Sierra 1500 Elevation and more than $50,000 in 50/50 winnings.

The foundation’s Rev Up & Ride Raffle raised a staggering $185,475 and the related 50/50 raffle raised $142,440, meaning the lucky winner takes home $71,220 according to the foundation’s raffle website.

The draw was conducted via live stream on Monday afternoon.

Lucky winners included Stanley Sanguez, who won the 2025 GMC Sierra. Lee-Ann Ellsworth won a 2025 Ski-doo Expedition while Nick Thibault won a 2025 Can-Am Outlander.

Noel Talaver won the 50/50 raffle, organizers said.

Money raised through the fundraiser goes toward the purchase of new equipment at Yellowknife’s Stanton Territorial Hospital, helping patients from the NWT and Nunavut’s Kitikmeot region.
