“So this happened at work today,” Kody Hardisty wrote.
His caption in a Friday Facebook post accompanied a video that appeared to show a small dust devil whistle through a roadside construction site.
Hardisty said he shot the video at Redknife River, the location of a bridge on the Dehcho stretch of NWT Highway 1 where work is taking place this summer.

Dust devils are short-lived whirlwinds that have the appearance of miniature tornadoes.
Whereas tornadoes are normally associated with much larger storm systems moving across the land, dust devils usually occur in sunny conditions and aren’t nearly as intense.
They normally cause little or no lasting damage.
