A new water licence does not guarantee the mine will be built, but helps pave the way for that to happen.

Here’s the full agenda for the hearing, hosted by regulator the Wek’èezhìi Land and Water Board. The hearing began on Tuesday and Wednesday is expected to be its final day.

Fortune presented about its plans on Tuesday morning, then Indigenous, territorial and federal government representatives began asking questions and presenting their own feedback.

The public hearing is being held at the Johnny Nitsiza Community Centre in Whatì from 9am-5pm each day. Interpretation in Tłı̨chǫ is available and it’s open to the public.
