Pull out your dancing shoes and be sure to put on your best glam for The Underground’s Kesha-themed drag night and album release party.
This Thursday, organizers promise an “unforgettable” night of dancing, singing and drag performances, hosted by drag queen Jenny Sis and drag king Thunder Normz.
The show is celebrating “all things fierce, fabulous and Kesha.”
Kesha, the American singer and songwriter whose hits Tik Tok and Timber topped both the US and Canadian charts, will release a new album on Friday.
The album, her sixth studio release, is titled . – a period – and is pronounced “period.” Kesha and Scissor Sisters are spending the summer jointly headlining The Tits Out Tour, which begins on July 1 and counts Toronto, on July 21, as the only Canadian date announced so far.
The Underground’s Kesha night, starting at 7:30pm with the album release dance party at 10pm (midnight ET, when the album drops), features performances by Jenny Sis, Thunder Normz and other guests, organizers said in a press release last week.
Describing the event as a “full-blown drag extravaganza,” Jenny Sis promised a great time for die-hard Kesha fans or people who just want to enjoy a night out.
Tickets are available for $20 in advance (via e-transfer to [email protected]). A limited number will be available for $25 at the door. Doors open at 7pm.
“Dress to impress, bring your best energy, and prepare to scream-sing every Kesha anthem,” the press release stated.
