The NWT government says the price of fuel has changed in 12 communities which are serviced by the Petroleum Products Program.
The Department of Infrastructure announced in a Monday press release that it has updated prices to reflect the cost of fuel delivered to communities during the 2024/2025 winter resupply.
Prices have been adjusted for Colville Lake, Délı̨nę, Fort Good Hope, Gametì, Jean Marie River, Nahanni Butte, Sambaa K’e, Tsiigehtchic, Tulita, Wekweètì, Whatì, and Wrigley, effective Monday.
The price of gasoline per liter has decreased in Colville Lake, Fort Good Hope, Nahanni Butte, Tulita and Wrigley, and increased in Délı̨nę, Gametì, Jean Marie River and Sambaa K’e.
The price of heating fuel has decreased in Colville Lake, Fort Good Hope, Gametì, Sambaa K’e, Tulita, Wekweètì, Whatì and Wrigley. It has increased for Délı̨nę, Nahanni Butte and Tsiigehtchic.

The price of diesel has decreased in Colville Lake, Fort Good Hope, Gametì, Sambaa K’e, Tulita , Wekweètì, Whatì, and Wrigley. It has increased in Délı̨nę and Nahanni Butte.
The NWT government said it is required to set fuel prices at amounts that recover the wholesale purchase cost of fuel as well as transportation costs.
The territory adjusts fuel prices at least twice a year.
