The City of Yellowknife’s 2025 community showcase – promoting “cultural, recreational and leisure opportunities” offered by local non-profits – will take place on Wednesday, September 10.

In a press release this week, the city said the free event will be held in the multiplex gym from 6-8pm that day.

By hosting the showcase, the city hopes it can give non-profits the chance to share information about their work, engage with residents and encourage participation in the programs and services they offer.

Non-profits, community groups and sports groups can reserve a free table by sending an email to the city with “Community Showcase” in the subject line.

Registration is open until September 5, with spaces allocated on a first-come, first-serve basis.

“By bringing together residents and service providers in one location, the city aims to foster stronger community connections and support local initiatives,” the municipality stated.
