In pictures: Fort Smith’s 2025 Fireweed Festival

The Fireweed Festival in Fort Smith welcomed more than a thousand visitors over the weekend.

That figure comes from festival organizers, who say the 2025 edition – from August 22-24 – generated more than twice the visitors than for any other event in the town.

Events included live music at Queen Elizabeth Territorial Park during the day with evening performances at Dirty O’Fergies. The park also featured vendors, crafting activities, a Métis village and Kub car racing.

A vintage car show with special guest Mike Hall from Rust Valley Restorers drew vehicles from across the territory and neighbouring provinces.

Here are some of our favourite photos from the festival.
