Yellowknife RCMP say they arrested three people from out of the territory during a traffic stop on Tuesday near the city’s Tommy Forrest ballpark.
The three men initially gave police false names, RCMP stated in a Friday news release, but officers ultimately concluded one was under an active arrest warrant from Saskatchewan.
RCMP said they searched the vehicle and found a loaded handgun, a “tactical shotgun,” ammunition, drug paraphernalia and more than 50 grams of suspected cocaine.
Police said Destin Mosquito and Tristan Pritchard, from Saskatchewan, and Adrian Lockhart from Calgary were charged with a range of illegal weapons offences.
Police also charged Pritchard with two counts of failure to comply with release order conditions.

The three were arrested without incident, RCMP said, and remain in custody pending a bail hearing. An investigation continues.
