RCMP say two people from Quebec face charges after Behchokǫ̀ officers found suspected crack cocaine in a vehicle stopped for speeding on Highway 3.

Police say they pulled over the vehicle on August 22 and observed “suspicious behaviour.” RCMP allege a search uncovered 462 grams of suspected crack cocaine.

Steven Jean, 29, and 25-year-old Donald Adolphe, both of Quebec, are charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking. Adolphe is also charged with possession of forged documents and unstamped tobacco.

A third person, a 21-year-old woman whom police did not name, was released to appear in court at a later date. Charges against her have not yet been sworn in court, police stated.
