Police in Fort Resolution say the body of a boater reported missing in the community on September 3 has been found.
In a statement on Tuesday, RCMP said they had been notified on Sunday that searchers made the discovery on the shore of Moose Deer Island.

“The remains were returned to the community and confirmed to be those of the missing 35-year-old boater,” police stated.
“The Coroner’s Service has been engaged and is investigating.
“The RCMP extends condolences to the family of the deceased. We thank the local fire department and community members whose continued efforts brought closure to this matter.”
