Josh Campbell and Cheryl Cli have been acclaimed to Fort Simpson’s village council as the only two people to put their names forward in this month’s by-election.

The results were published by the village on Wednesday.

The seats on the village’s council became available after Muaz Hassan tendered his resignation in March and former councillor Amy Fraser left her role in September, Mayor Les Wright previously told Cabin Radio.

Had more than two candidates come forward, an election would have been held on November 24.
