Northern delivery firm RouteBox says it has expanded its range of package and grocery delivery services in Behchokǫ̀ and other communities.

In a press release, the company – which also operates the QuickPlate food delivery service in Yellowknife – said it had introduced “affordable package consolidation and forwarding services” this year for NWT and Nunavut communities.

“Residents and businesses can register for a personalized Yellowknife shipping address to use when shopping online. Once packages arrive at our Yellowknife facility, customers can choose to have them held for consolidation with future orders or shipped immediately,” the company stated.

“We offer free, direct delivery to Behchokǫ̀ one to two times per week. Customers in Behchokǫ̀ typically receive their packages within two to three days of arrival in Yellowknife.

“For other northern communities – such as Gamètì, Wekweètì, Gjoa Haven, Fort Good Hope, and more – RouteBox provides free delivery to any local airline for convenient onward transportation.”

Since the start of November, RouteBox said, deliveries of groceries and essential supplies to Behchokǫ̀ customers have been taking place each Saturday.

“Our goal is to increase awareness so that more community members can take advantage of the amenities we’re bringing closer to home,” the company stated.
