Two candidates for Deh Gáh Got’ı̨ę First Nation chief

Michael Vandell and Ron Bonnetrouge are the two candidates in this month’s election for chief of the Deh Gáh Got’ı̨ę First Nation.

Vandell is the incumbent. Bonnetrouge, a former chief, served as the Dehcho MLA from 2019 to 2023.

Vandell is seeking a third successive term in office having been last re-elected in 2023.

Advance polls run from 12-6pm on December 9 and December 11 at the Nahecho K’eh centre.

Election day is Monday, December 15, with polls open at the same venue from 9am until 6pm.
