RCMP in Hay River say an Alberta 24-year-old faces charges after officers “recovered over half a kilogram of suspected crack cocaine during an arrest.”
According to police, the find followed a traffic stop on December 19 during which “an individual was found to have provided a false name to officers.”
“Officers subsequently located approximately $5,100 in cash, approximately 548 grams of suspected crack cocaine pre-packaged for sale, and a quantity of unlabelled pills in the suspect’s possession,” police stated.
RCMP named the accused as Brandon Wolfe and said he is charged with possession for the purposes of trafficking alongside possessing property obtained by crime.
He has been remanded into custody, police said. The charges have yet to be proven in court.
