RCMP in Fort Providence say they have charged a 32-year-old with trafficking-related offences after a months-long investigation.
In a Tuesday news release, police said the investigation began in October when a resident told officers a “quantity of suspected crack cocaine had been located in a bedroom.”
Police say they subsequently found multiple guns, a ballistic vest, 56 grams of crack cocaine and more than 130 codeine tablets.
RCMP said Westlin Sabourin is charged with two counts of trafficking, two counts of possessing a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, possessing property obtained by crime and firearms violations.
Sabourin is in custody and next due in court on January 13, police said.
