Police in Whatì say a man has been charged with possessing drugs for the purpose of trafficking after he was reported to be selling crack cocaine while intoxicated.
According to RCMP, officers were told the man was refusing to leave someone else’s home at the time.
“Officers attended the house and took the suspect into custody without incident,” police stated in a Tuesday news release.
“During a search, approximately 54 grams of crack cocaine, over $1,000 in cash and other drug trafficking paraphernalia were found and seized. A small quantity of bootleg alcohol was also seized.”
RCMP named the man charged as Molson Romie. He was released to appear in court at a later date, police said.
