Police in Yellowknife say they have arrested a 28-year-old said to be wanted on charges of assault, two weeks after an appeal for help finding him.
In a January 13 news release, RCMP said Adrian Sangris is subject to an arrest warrant for assault, assault causing bodily harm and failure to comply with a release order.
Those charges were related to an incident that happened on New Year’s Day, police said.
“Adrian Sangris is out on bail for several other serious charges, including numerous assaults, impaired driving and pointing a firearm,” RCMP stated at the time.
On Thursday, a little over two weeks after asking for the public’s help locating him, police said Sangis had been arrested on January 28.
No further detail was provided.
“Thank you to our media partners and the public for the assistance with this matter,” police stated.
