A new water licence does not guarantee the mine will be built, but helps pave the way for that to happen.

Fortune will present about its plans on Tuesday morning, then Indigenous, territorial and federal government representatives will use the remaining time to ask questions and present their own feedback.

The public hearing is being held at the Johnny Nitsiza Community Centre in Whatì from 9am-5pm each day. Interpretation in Tłı̨chǫ is available and it’s open to the public.

A community dinner with raffle prizes is being held from 5:30-6:30pm on Tuesday.
