Spring cleaning and looking to get rid of large household items in Yellowknife?
The city is offering to pick up large items free of charge from June 8 to 12 for households that receive regular curbside collection service.
Approved items for pickup include mattresses, couches, fridges, freezers, ovens, microwaves, dishwashers, washers and dryers, hot water tanks, bicycles, cars, tires and residential construction waste.
The city said it will not pick up hazardous waste items, yard waste or items that can be recycled.
The city is asking anyone interested in having a large item picked up to fill out a form and email it to the city or drop it off at the customer service desk at City Hall ahead of large item pickup week.
