Yellowknife’s Wood Fired Pizzeria and other buildings were damaged in a fire that began in the early hours of Thursday morning.
A person at the scene on 49 Street, identifying themselves as a neighbour, said they became aware of the fire at about 3am.
Two fire trucks, RCMP and municipal enforcement remained at the scene shortly before 7am.
A home to the left of the pizzeria and a structure behind it also appeared to have fire damage.
The cause of the fire was not immediately known, nor whether anyone had been hurt. Firefighters could be seen entering multiple properties adjacent to the business as they continued to hose down the restaurant early on Thursday.
The pizzeria opened in 2024.
