An array of classic cars and motorcycles lined Yellowknife’s 48 Street on Saturday for Harley’s Hardrock Saloon’s second annual Show and Shine.
Mustangs, Chevys and Harley-Davidsons were polished to a mirror finish, blinding those who walked by them.
“You’re always going to see nice vehicles driving, but everybody wants to show them off too. They want people to see what they work on, their real pride and joys,” said Scott Yuill, owner of Harley’s Hardrock Saloon.
Yuill himself had a 1969 Chevelle truck showcased at the event, saying it belonged to his daughter, who passed away.
All age groups were welcome at the event, with large foam machines and bouncy castles on offer.

“We wanted to get something organized that the whole public can come down for one day, let loose, have fun, and make some memories,” said organizer Blaine Talbot. “We all need this.”
This year’s show and shine featured a fundraiser for NWT SPCA and Inclusion NWT, which Talbot said would share the proceeds.
