Cabin Radio’s Pet Project, a show about dogs available for adoption at Yellowknife’s animal shelter, is reaching the climax of its latest season – with a big good-news story to tell.

Since 2018, we’ve aired short videos from the NWT SPCA where hosts introduce a new dog each week in the hope of finding them a forever home.

This season’s host, Jasmine Nasogaluak, went a step further.

In this season-ending bonus episode, Jasmine introduces us – for the second time – to Qimmiq, who starred in episode three… and is now part of Jasmine’s family.

Cabin Radio’s Pet Project will be back for a new season next year. In the meantime, if you adopted a dog featured in an earlier episode of the show, we would love to hear about it and how you guys are getting on.

Qimmiq is the second Pet Project dog to end up with a Cabin Radio employee.

Kona, a six-month-old shepherd cross from Behchokǫ̀, starred in a May 2021 episode hosted by Luisa Esteban. Kona has spent the ensuing five years with Cabin Radio’s editor, Ollie Williams.
