Inuvik’s Fiddle and Flow Festival will feature 19 musicians from across the Beaufort Delta, talent shows, an Arctic market and a barbecue.
“It’s a vibrant celebration of northern culture, featuring traditional fiddle music and flow art,” said Emilie Leneveu, a spokesperson for the Town of Inuvik.
“It’s really an opportunity to bring together musicians from across the Beaufort Delta for an amazing weekend of music, fun, and an opportunity to get together.”
The festival is organized by the Town of Inuvik in partnership with the Inuvik Community Events Society.
Leneveu said 2026 marks the five-year anniversary of the Fiddle and Flow Festival.

“We’re hoping for this fifth anniversary to be bigger and brighter than it’s ever been,” said Leneveu.
Festivities are set to begin on August 14 at 6pm at the Chief Jim Koe Park special events pavilion with a free community barbecue followed by a performance by musician Wesley Hardisty, and a talent show.
Events scheduled for August 15 include a tribute to the Delta Good Time Band, a youth workshop, old time dance and a jigging contest.
“I think that the jigging contest is one that people look for and really brings a smile to folks’ faces year after year,” Leneveu said, recalling one of her favourite memories from last year’s festival.

A youth showcase, traditional dress parade, and fiddling contest are set to take place on August 16, ahead of closing ceremonies and the presentation of the Up and Coming Youth Award in Music.
Throughout the weekend, there will also be the Artic Market, community fire ring, and a raffle sponsored by Air North that will raise money for the Up and Coming Youth Award in Music.
