In pictures: Yellowknife’s carnival by night

Who doesn’t love a carnival midway? Screaming kids on crazy rides, the greasy, salty aroma of hot popcorn, balloons popping and music thumping.

Wild Rose Shows set up again in Yellowknife at the multiplex, running daily August 28 to September 6.

The fair will be in Behchokǫ̀ and Fort Smith, too. Check dates on the Wild Rose website.

Night photos can be really dramatic, with a slow shutter speed and lucky timing as the rides speed up and slow down.
