The City of Yellowknife is accepting applications until December 1 for its 2027 community and Heritage Committee grant programs.

There are four grants to which residents and organizations can apply:

  • Community Service Grants: one-year funding open to non-profit organizations for the start-up or enhancement of programs or projects. This grant funds 30 percent of the submitted budget up to $10,000.
  • Multi-Year Grants: three-year funding open to non-profit organizations for operational requirements, programs and projects. This grant funds 30 percent of the submitted budget up to $50,000.
  • Sponsorship Grants: one-year funding open to non-profit organizations to sponsor or host an event. This grant funds 30 percent of the submitted budget up to $20,000.
  • Heritage Committee Grants: open to individuals, groups, partnerships or businesses promoting, celebrating, and preserving Yellowknife’s heritage. The Heritage Committee can grant up to $5,000 and city council can approve grants up to $10,000.

Applications must be submitted by 5pm on December 1 – an earlier deadline than in previous years, when groups had until January.
