RCMP say they are investigating sudden deaths in both Inuvik and Aklavik.
The deaths represent the second and third deaths confirmed to be under investigation by NWT police in the past three days, following an earlier incident in Deline on Monday.

In Aklavik, RCMP say they received a report of a dead 40-year-old man at around 1am on Wednesday.

Eight hours later, in neighbouring Inuvik, police were alerted to the death of a 38-year-old woman.
In all three instances this week, members of the RCMP’s major crimes unit and forensic team were dispatched to the scene alongside the NWT Coroner Service.
There’s no update on Monday’s death in Deline. RCMP have not identified any of the individuals concerned, nor clarified the nature of any of the incidents, and say no further details are currently available.
No connection between the three cases has been suggested by police.
