$1M prize won in the NWT last month still unclaimed

Nobody has come forward to claim a $1 million lottery prize won with a ticket bought somewhere in the Northwest Territories.

Friday, July 13’s MAX Millions draw created 22 sets of winning million-dollar numbers. One set – with numbers 1, 2, 5, 11, 23, 36, and 45 – matched a ticket sold in the NWT.

That prize is still unclaimed almost a month later, the Western Canada Lottery Corporation confirmed to Cabin Radio on Tuesday.

All we know about the ticket is it was bought somewhere in the territory other than Yellowknife.

The ticket’s owner has one year from the draw date to come forward and claim the prize, which makes the expiry date July 13, 2019.

The owner of a separate $100,000 prize won in the NWT in October last year is also still to come forward.
