Hurry hard! The Fat Fox Café is to reopen on Fridays at Yellowknife Curling Club, beginning on January 18.

The café became a Yellowknife institution despite only being open for two years before issues with its former building – since demolished – forced it to close in May 2018.

While owners Jeremy Flatt and Emma Atkinson branched out into catering for the Christmas season, this week’s news marks the Fat Fox’s first regular location since May.

In a Facebook post, the café said it will open each Friday night from 6-9pm at the curling club with a different meal each week.

The opening meal, this Friday, will be curry, with takeout available.

Responding to messages from customers, the Fat Fox suggested baked goods and possibly brunch could be on the menu in future – but the owners will “keep it pretty simple to start with.”
