RCMP in Inuvik laid out $69,000 in cash on public display after executing a search warrant in the community.

Ali Omar, of Edmonton, was arrested in Inuvik on March 9 and charged with possession of property obtained by crime, police said in a news release on Monday evening.

During the search, RCMP said they found about $69,000 in cash, drug paraphernalia, bear spray, and knife.

Omar is currently being held in custody and will appear in a Yellowknife courtroom on March 14.

RCMP said nobody was injured during the execution of the warrant and they are not seeking any other suspects in the investigation.
