Folk on the Rocks 2024 began on Friday with Warm The Rocks shows at both Somba K’e Civic Plaza and Long Lake.
Cabin Radio checked out the Long Lake show at the Canadian North Beer Garden Stage in the evening. We’ve compiled the best photos from the night here (full disclosure, we didn’t stay until the very end in the early hours of Saturday).
Frog Poison and Cows Go Moo – high school and elementary school-aged bands – started the night at the beer garden.
The youth bands were followed by Aladean Kheroufi, Thomas Thomas and Miesha and the Spanks.
Glam on the Rocks, featuring Yellowknife’s burlesque performers, took to the stage around midnight.
Sean Beaver and BrandonSonnet closed out the night.
You can listen live to Folk on the Rocks all weekend via the Cabin Radio website or get the Cabin Radio app for iPhone or Android.
