Police in Norman Wells say a second suspect has been charged after a “significant altercation” that reportedly saw one person stabbed and another shot with a crossbow.
Teagan Sutherland, 23, was taken into custody following the weekend incident.
On Wednesday, RCMP said 24-year-old Dallas McCauley, a second suspect in the case, faces charges of breaking and entering, aggravated assault, using a disguise with intent to commit an offence, and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
However, police said he has yet to be apprehended.
“A warrant has been issued for the arrest of McCauley, who is believed to be hiding in the community of Norman Wells,” RCMP stated in a news release.
“Norman Wells RCMP are asking anyone with information on McCauley’s whereabouts not to approach him and to contact the detachment at 867-587-1111 or Crimestoppers.”
At the time of altercation, police say McCauley had an outstanding arrest warrant for prior offences including uttering threats and failure to comply with a probation order.
