The operators of Yellowknife’s forthcoming Ricky’s All Day Grill say “construction and equipment delays” have forced the restaurant to open later than planned.
Franchisees Sweets Dhillon and Amritpal Dhaliwal, who have come from Whitehorse to set up the restaurant, initially advertised an opening date of February 4.
However, work to transform the space inside Centre Square Mall is taking longer than anticipated.
On Sunday, Dhillon told Cabin Radio she wanted customers to know that the pair were “doing our best to navigate” the delays.
“We’re finally getting very close to opening our doors,” she said in a message also posted online.
