Yellowknife’s Ruth Inch Memorial Pool will close for good at the end of Sunday, April 13, the city said on Tuesday.

The pool is being replaced by a new $70-million aquatic centre.

The opening date for the aquatic centre is not yet clear, but the city has said it is on track for “spring 2025.” City staff have said about a month is needed to transfer operations from Ruth Inch to the new facility.
