Yellowknife RCMP have issued a public appeal for help identifying a suspect in the reported assault of a taxi driver last month.
In a Wednesday news release, RCMP said the incident took place at about 11am on March 17 in the vicinity of Franklin Avenue, the city’s main street.
“The victim, a taxi driver, was allegedly assaulted by a customer,” police stated.
“The suspect, a male, was wearing a grey baseball cap and a black sweater with a bright coloured design on the back at the time of the incident.
“Yellowknife RCMP is hoping someone from the public might recognize the suspect and would come forward, which could assist the investigation.”

Police issued two images of the suspect and appealed for anyone with video footage or photos of the incident to come forward.
