Police in Fort Smith say they have found a 14-year-old who was the subject of a public appeal after a car crash on Saturday.

The boy was believed to be a passenger in the incident, RCMP said. The crash ended up triggering a broader drugs investigation.

In a brief update on Tuesday morning, police said the boy went to Fort Smith’s health centre on Monday evening “with injuries related to the vehicle collision.”

“The youth is in stable condition and his family has been notified,” police stated.

An investigation is ongoing.
