A forum next week featuring candidates to become the next Inuvialuit Regional Corporation leader will be streamed live.
Seven people representing three communities are running to become the next IRC chair in January 26’s election:

- Lucy Kuptana Tuktoyaktuk
- Hans Lennie Inuvik
- Lawrence Ruben Paulatuk
- Duane Smith Inuvik
- Brian Wade Inuvik
- Kurt Wainman Inuvik
An all-candidates forum is due to take place on Tuesday, January 20.
On Sunday, the Inuvialuit Communications Society said it will stream the event live.
“This will be an opportunity for the candidates to share their platforms and answer questions from voting members,” ICS said.

Voting is open to the 42 directors of the Inuvialuit community corporations, who will between them select a chair for the next four years.
The election takes the form of a secret ballot. Multiple rounds may be needed, with one candidate eliminated each time, until a candidate receives more than 50 percent of votes available.
