Yellowknife RCMP say they have opened a “satellite office” in Dettah.
In a Monday press release, police said the office is located on the second floor of the Chief Drygeese building.
RCMP said the new office aims to strengthen “accessibility, visibility, and meaningful day-to-day engagement” with police officers.
It said residents will be able to provide statements or make non-emergency reports to police and the office will provide some non-urgent services such as criminal record checks.
An RCMP spokesperson told Cabin Radio the satellite office will be permanent.
