Ptarmigan Ptheatrics’ latest production, Crazy For You, is set to hit the stage at Yellowknife’s Northern Arts and Cultural Centre on April 23.
The romantic comedy musical features songs by Ira and George Gershwin and follows banker Bobby Child, who falls for Polly Baker while they try to save a theatre.
“With mistaken identity, love triangles and some show-stopping tap routines, there’s something for everyone in this show,” director Sean Daly stated in a news release.
“It’s a period piece set in the midst of the Great Depression, but there’s a timelessness in the power of community coming together.”
Ptarmigan Ptheatrics is a Yellowknife non-profit that aims to create and promote high-quality amateur theatrical productions.
Previous Ptarmigan Ptheatrics shows include We Will Rock You and 9 to 5.
Crazy For You runs at NACC from April 23-May 2, starting at 7:30pm each night with a 2pm matinee on April 26.
Tickets are on sale via NACC’s website or the centre’s box office.
